Marine Propellers

Matha Metal Works (MMW) their propellers entirely “in house” in our purpose designed 2500 sq.ft factory with two sister concerns Devi Metal Works (DMW) and Devi Marine Industries (DMI). This means that we can have complete control over quality, and this, together with our design ability, is why the company has the reputation for high performance, high quality, and high strength products.

The whole process from initial design, application design, pattern/mould making, precision casting, machining, precision finishing, and inspection, is carried out in our factory under carefully controlled conditions. Our Propeller ranges in various dimensions from 18 inches to 90 inches in diameter having 2, 3, 4, 5 blades, best crafted for the marine needs.

Shaft

Shafts are manufactured from certified raw materials with high dimensional tolerances and surface finish by using CNC machines. The material used is AISI 304,316, 316L &  Duplex Steel graded S.S of various diameter and larger length up to 10 Meters with excellent corrosion fatigue strength and outstanding corrosion resistance. Its use allows for a smaller diameter shaft to be used which cuts cost and weight.

MMW after extensive research development and testing, when it was found that other high strength stainless steels suffered from corrosion defects. End tapers on the Shaft are machined to achieve maximum contact of bedding surfaces.

Marine Stern Tubes for Stern Gear Assemblies

MMW manufacture various Stern Tubes for use in Stern gear assemblies. As well as providing standard designs, MMW can be made and supplied to any specification, from any material, for any vessel.
